Would you like to know who is texting my girlfriend? Are you curious who your girlfriend is constantly receiving text messages from? Is she always on her phone talking to someone? Does she receive texts at odd hours of the night when she really shouldn’t be talking to anyone? Is she secretive about the text messages that she receives and will never tell you who it is? When you ask her who she is talking to does she always reply with „no one?“ Does your girlfriend’s excessive use of her cell phone frighten you to the point where you would like to know who is texting my girlfriend?

Would you like to know who is texting my girlfriend without ever actually needing to physically have her phone? Do you want to be able to read her messages whenever you want no matter where she is or what she is doing? Would you like to be able to finally read your girlfriend’s deleted messages so you know every single text that she receives?

Any boyfriend would like to know who is texting my girlfriend and become suspicious when their girlfriend is always on her phone. If your girlfriend ignores you when she is trying to text someone and you would like to know who that person that is so important is then continue reading. Texting is used by everyone in today’s world allowing for anyone to have the opportunity to text your girlfriend.

Most boyfriends try to take matters into their own hands when they try to find who is texting my girlfriend. The most common thing that any boyfriend does is try looking through their girlfriend’s phone. When their girlfriend is in the shower or is out shopping and has left her phone then they try to take her phone and go through her messages. However there are many problems with this. You first risk the chance of getting caught by your girlfriend and causing a whole new problem. You also risk the chance of your girlfriend deleting all of her text messages that showed her talking to someone she shouldn’t be talking to so you wasted your time.

Sometimes boyfriends even go as far as taking the phone right out of their girlfriend’s hands while they are in the middle of texting. However this could also cause a big problem. If your girlfriend really wasn’t texting someone that she shouldn’t be then she will think that you don’t trust her and an argument will break out. There has to be a better way than this.

The best way to see who is texting my girlfriend is through the use of cell phone spying software. This amazing software enables you to see who your girlfriend is not only receiving messages from but also sending messages to. Even if your girlfriend deletes all of her texts you will still be able to see them so she can’t hide who she is talking to. All of this information is accessible on the comfort of your computer where you don’t have to risk getting caught.

Is it a Good Idea to Listen to Music While Reading?

Do you like listening to music while reading? If yes then have you ever thought how it affects your reading process? Does it allow you to read faster or does it slow you down? How does it affect the reading comprehension?

First, it must be stated that if you want to read fast then you have to concentrate well to the text you are reading. Your thoughts have to be focused and you should not let your mind to wander away. Poor concentration leads to slow reading speed. In addition, it hurts your reading comprehension. If your mind is not with the text you may lose track while reading and you will have problems with memorizing the content of the reading material.

It means that the effect of music on speed reading and comprehension should be judged upon the effect of music on your concentration. The question is can music distract you or could it be helpful for achieving better concentration.

It has to be noted that in most cases human mind can efficiently deal with only one task at the same time. For example, if you are reading and talking to the telephone simultaneously, then it is likely that your reading speed will be slower, you may have difficulties in memorizing the text and the phone call may be not as successful as you wished. So, if you want to be efficient then you should not read and talk with the telephone at the same time.

If the music that we are listening to starts to distract us in a way that we focus on the music instead of focusing on the text then our reading performance will suffer. If the music is for background and if it does not turn our attention away from the text, then music is not a distracting factor for reading.

It depends on your personality and some people find listening to music supportive to their reading process, while for the others the effect of music can be the opposite. Many people can not feel comfortable in a complete silence. For them, background music can create a more comfortable environment. Still, music should be there only for the background and it means that it should not be catchy. The music should not be so attractive that you start listening to it. It can be there for creating the atmosphere, but you should not listen to it attentively while reading. Therefore instrumental music is better for reading as there is no possibility for listening to the lyrics. It is good if the music is relaxing by its nature, so heavy metal would not be a wise choice. You can listen to sounds of the nature or music for meditation while reading.

You may also want to listen to music when you are in a noisy environment, such as an office, where other people are chatting, making phone calls etc. Then you can put on your earphones, and the music helps you to isolate from disturbing noises. Putting the earphones on may be also helpful in situations when you get often interrupted by your colleagues, who start chatting to you. If you have your earphones on then other people usually will not disturb you unless the have a serious issue to talk about.

To find out if the background music is good for your reading performance you can try out reading with and without music. Afterwards you can compare in which situation you can read more focused. Try to observe if the music starts turning your attention away from the text. If that is the case, then reading and music do not mix for you or at least you should try different type of music, which is less catchy.

Song Lyrics in Fiction – What Writers Need to Know

Immobilie bewerten, Immobilie Wert, Immobilienrechner, Verkaufsrechner, Immobilienwertermittlung

eMail: info@heidelbergerwohnen.de
Internet: www.heidelbergerwohnen.de

Authors sometimes find it really tempting to use song lyrics in a novel or story. The words of the song are just so powerful and so right that … well, they need to be there.

If you're considering using song lyrics in your work of fiction, you may want to come up with a back-up plan. Here are some things you should know:

  • you or your publisher may be able to get rights to use the lyrics – or maybe not
  • it's probably going to cost you (typically a small fee per copy you make, but that can add up)
  • your publisher may decide the lyrics are not worth the time / effort / money required to use them.

What about 'fair use'?

Fair Use principles were not put in place to cover fiction.

You could claim fair use if you were writing, say, a nonfiction piece looking at US cultural shifts over the last fifty years through the lens of Top-10 lyrics. To write such a work, you'd clearly need to reference some lyrics. But if you tried to get permission and pay for every single song, those barriers would jeopardize your ability to produce the work. Fair use would allow you to quote a few lines from each song to help make your point as you presented your analysis.

Putting lyrics into your fiction is something else altogether.

You'll read a lot of pages online that talk about lyric printing as 'fair use', etc., but that's a stretch of the fair use doctrine and completely unreliable when it comes to novels and other works of fiction.

What's the worst that could happen?

I'm not a lawyer. Personally, I think the worst that would probably happen is that someone would see you used the lyrics and sue to make you pay. You'd have to pay the usage fees, plus maybe some punitive damages and court fees. All that could add up to a great deal more than it would have cost to get the rights in the first place.

I further think rights-holders 'attorneys' time would be better spent going after web sites that publish lyrics and musical arrangements in their entirety.

If you have a bestseller on your hands and make millions, though, you're going to be putting yourself into a whole other class of rights violators.

Should not the artist or songwriter be pleased I love their work enough to include it?

Do not take it personally; it's business. Artists, unless they wrote their own songs or bought the rights, do not really have a claim to the lyrics. The songwriter does unless he or she sold them all. But the person you need to worry about most in this equation is typically a music publishing company. That company probably paid money for the rights to control publication of those lyrics you want. They're highly unlikely to get warm fuzzies because you want to use lyrics under their control. Even if they do, they have to pay people (such as the songwriter) for that usage.

Bottom line: Lyrics are intellectual property. They're worth money.

But is not this like free advertising for them?

In a way … maybe … if your story causes a bunch of people to rush out and buy the sheet music. But that's not likely. At best, it might cause readers to buy the song. That's covered under altogether different rights – performance and recording rights, etc. Someone, somewhere might be pleased. Depending on how things are set up, a little of that money might even trickle to the music publishing company. That prospect, however, is not likely to cause that company to let you use the lyrics for free.

So how much does it cost?

Basically, to use the song, you'll need to enter into a contract with the rights-holder. That company will tell you how much it wants for the usage you've described. A lot of factors go into the cost, including the portion of the song that you're intending to use. If you're only using a line or two, you may be looking at only a few cents per copy you make. Or it could be a lot higher. There generally are different fee schedules for hard-copy vice online use. You will not really be able to gauge the potential cost until you ask.

If all you want is a few lines from a single song, it's probably affordable. If you want to start each of thirty chapters with a line from a song, your cost and hassle will multiply. You're going to have to pay for each of those lines. Getting permission may entail going to not one, but several, different companies.

How do I get started?

Basically, you start the process by writing to the entity that manages the rights.

If you're an author in search of a traditional publisher, it will not do you much good to ask early. If, however, you plan to disseminate copies of the work while you're on your way to publication, the safest thing to do is to request permission from the rights-holder. Often, the company is willing to let you use the lyrics in this way for free. For example, I've been able to get permission to use sets of lyrics in online writing workshops for free because I was not making any money from the work and because only a few hundred people would visit the location where it was posted.

If you do not intend to share the work with others prior to publication, it's best to wait until you're a little closer to publication to request permission. In considering your request for rights, the company is going to want to know how many copies will be published and what format, as well as other things you can not tell them. You and your publisher can decide how to handle the request – if your publisher's even willing to deal with the issue at all. Some small publishers just do not have the resources to deal with the usage requests and the required follow-up. Your publisher may just tell you to scrap the lyrics.

If you're going the self-publishing route (hard-copy or e-book), then you should be in a position to give the rights-holder the details it wants.

How do I request permission?

Generally, you write to the music publisher. Try Googling the song name and the term "sheet music". There are lots of places that sell sheet music online for a few dollars, and you can download it right away. Often the find the the I answers the I need for this at Sheetmusicplus .

Check the details for the song to make sure you've got the right one. Sometimes the same song will end up in different arrangements, published by different companies. And sometimes multiple songs will share a title.

The sheet music will reveal the publisher and its address information and, in some cases, will even tell where to go for additional permissions. If it does not, the publishing company's webpage probably will.

If you're unable to determine the music publisher, you might find some hints by checking the songs in the databases of the entities that handle performance rights: ASCAP; BMI; and SESAC.

Once you get the music publisher's contact information, you can write to the company (some even have online forms) and tell what you want to do and what lyrics you want to use. Make sure you tell them what you want is a * print license *. Most of the publishing houses have guidelines on their sites for what they expect in a license request. After that, they'll probably write you back and / or send you a proposal contract with their terms. It's probably going to include a lot of details that make no sense to you, unless you're a lawyer; if you're not, you might want to talk to one about that contract so you understand what it is you're signing.

By the way, there are companies online who make all this easier, if you're willing to pay them to do it for you. They'll track down the info., Handle the paperwork, etc., but most authors I've talked to do not think those companies are worth what you'd pay.

What are my alternatives?

Ditch the poetry.

Write your own poem.

Find a poet or songwriter who's fighting to make a name for himself; he might be willing to let you use his material for free, if you give him proper credit.

If it's really, really got to be that song, then consider just giving its title (surrounded by double quote marks) and do not use the lyrics. Because there are only so many words that can be used, song titles can not be copyrighted except under really stringent conditions in which they can be treated as entities unto themselves – like if the song title comprises a whole line from the song or if it's a made-up word that the writer himself created or something like that. Usually, it's not so much copyright as trademark protection that comes into play there. But that's a really rare situation and so for general use, song titles are thought of as fair game – sort of like book titles. Still, the safest thing is to double-check (either through checking on the web or contacting the lyrics' rights-holder) to make sure your song name is not one of the few exceptions.

If you're just posting your writing on the web, without charging for it, then you have another option. Include the song name and a link to the song at a music-sharing site. I personally like IMEEM because it's reported to have contracts with the big recording labels so that all the appropriate people get paid when the songs are played. Plus the player has a link that your reader can follow to buy the song, so this really is a way for you to give free advertising to the song you love.

Imeem is free and ultra-easy to use. The page for a song gives you code that you can just drop onto your blog or webpage to play the music. Some of those are limited to a 30-second play, but that's usually enough to convey the essence of the music, remind the reader of the song, etc., and if the reader wants to hear the whole thing, he can always follow the link to Imeem.

A word of caution: I've only looked into IMEEM for noncommercial usage. I assume they mave different rules when it comes to works for which you're actually charging. If your readers have to pay to access your work, you'll need to contact IMEEM to find out whether your usage falls within their license terms.

The prospect of launching your first mobile marketing campaign can be downright scary. Mobile is a new platform, with new conventions, new language, and new metrics. Perhaps you’ve read a white paper in the past. It was probably dozens of pages long and filled with incomprehensible jargon. It discussed mobile marketing campaigns that promised paradigm shifting results. The only problem with the paper was that the campaigns it spoke of were dauntingly complex, and they seemed to rely on technology that has yet to truly arrive. Moreover, they were expensive, and they necessitated that you put your business in the hands of an expensive marketing firm.

We understand where you are coming from. And that is why we put together this Ez Guide To Mobile Marketing With Text Messaging. What makes this paper different?

  • Simplicity: Mobile Marketing encompasses a number of exciting different methods, from mobile video to location-based advertising. The problem with these methods is twofold: they are unproven and require consumers to possess sophisticated devices, and they are incredibly complicated for businesses to implement. That’s why we like to focus on SMS. Text messaging bypasses these hurdles. Nearly every mobile phone supports text messaging, and with 600 billion text messages sent per year in the United States, a majority of consumers are familiar with the technology.
  • Do-It-Yourself: Mobile Marketing does not need to be difficult. This guide will show how you can quickly get started with a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) solution that won’t sacrifice any of the power and effectiveness of an expensive, agency-run campaign.
  • Cost: In economic times good or bad, you always want to keep a careful eye on the return on investment (ROI) of your marketing campaigns. DIY mobile marketing with text messaging fulfills this goal in two ways. First, text messaging is inexpensive. Rates per message are as low as a few pennies each. And second, you can use a powerful DIY mobile marketing software package to carefully monitor costs and response rates in real time.

Ready to learn how easy it is to launch your first mobile marketing campaign?

A Note From Shane Neman, CEO of Ez Texting, Inc.

A few years ago, the term “mobile marketing” was a concept far too esoteric and technical for businesses to grasp, let alone attempt to implement in-house. Ez Texting offers a web-based mobile text messaging platform for businesses. Here’s how it works: You connect to Ez Texting online, tap out a message and then it is sent out to your intended audience (customers, organization members, employees, etc). For marketers, customers on the receiving end can choose to either ignore the note or respond to the promotion.

When a local sales team from Jostens, the yearbook and class ring company, recently used Ez Texting to remind students in the Puyallup, Wash., area about payment due dates, the number of people who paid for the company’s graduation products ahead of schedule rose by as much as 40%. Because of that success rate this Jostens team scrapped its direct mail campaign, saving it roughly $1,000 in postage.

We love helping people reach that „Aha!“ moment. So many clients come to us with ideas they can only conceptualize. It’s rewarding to present them with techniques that can help their ideas evolve into real results.

We also love educating customers about what exactly mobile marketing is, how they can use it and showing them what kind of results they can expect. That’s a big feat for a small team of people, but we have managed to help over 40,000 customers and continue to do so every day.

– Shane Neman
CEO, Ez Texting, Inc.

What Is Mobile Marketing & Why Is It Different?

Mobile Marketing is, simply put, the practice of extending your marketing efforts to mobile devices. Today ‘mobile devices’ primarily means mobile phones, including smart phones such as the Blackberry and the Apple iPhone. In the future we will likely see full-fledged mobile computers, with persistent connections to the Internet. Such devices will offer a rich media marketing platform. However, those services are not yet here on a meaningful scale. For example, less than a quarter of Americans have ever browsed the mobile web And this represents the fundamental conundrum facing your firm when you consider whether to launch your first mobile marketing campaign. You’ve heard that mobile marketing is the future of advertising, but just not yet.

Only that’s not the case.

Contrary to what you may have heard, Mobile Marketing is here, and savvy firms, from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, are already running successful mobile campaigns. SMS Text Messaging is the key to this puzzle.
Nearly every phone in the United States supports text messaging. Over half of all

Americans have sent or received a text message. The average mobile phone subscriber sends nearly 200 text messages every month. When you look closer, at the prized 18 – 29 demographic, the adoption rate is even higher, edging toward saturation at 85%. Among those 30 – 49 years old , the adoption rate is at 65% and climbing

So Americans are clearly texting. But what do they think about being marketed to via text message? In a recent Direct Marketing Association survey, 70% of the sample revealed that they had responded to a marketing text message. To put this in perspective, the DMA adds that only 30% of those surveyed responded to a marketing email.

Why are consumers so eager to respond to marketing text messages? The answer reveals the value text messaging offers to both you and your customers:

  • It’s Interactive – 21st century marketing is about having a conversation with your customers, rather than shouting at them. A world saturated with intrusive advertising like spam, pop-ups, and commercials has overwhelmed consumers. Increasingly, they tune out messages broadcast to a wide audience, whether by using digital video recorders to skip past commercials, or simply by ignoring the banner ads on their favorite website.
  • It’s Personal – Your customers expect you to speak to them, and text messaging allows you to reach them individually, whenever, wherever, in the palm of their hands. This reach is of value to you the marketer. It also is of value to your customers. With a few taps of their thumbs they can respond to whatever message that you have sent them. With text messaging you can build relationships with your customers.
  • It’s Immediate – Text Messaging, like Twitter, and Instant Messaging, is blazingly fast. With text messaging you can communicate with your customers as speedily as they are now accustomed to living. You can also move quickly. Say you are a winter wear shop and you see that today a snowstorm is on its way. In less than five minutes you can send a text message to your customers containing a special offer on hats and gloves.
  • It’s Trackable – When you send out text messages to your customers you can see, in real time, who has responded to your message.
  • It’s New – Although thousands of companies large and small are already marketing to their customers via text message, the medium is still in its infancy. If you act now, you are letting your customers know that you are a forward-thinking firm. Your marketing efforts will break through the traditional clutter.

What Is The Value Proposition?

Mobile Marketing comes in many different flavors. For the vast majority of businesses, we think that text messaging is the best way to reach your consumers. In order to give you a quick overview of your options, below we walk you through the forms of mobile marketing other than text messaging that are available, explaining their pros and cons.

  • Advertising on the Mobile Web – Many prominent websites now offer custom tailored sites for mobile phones, via WAP, and specially designed iPhone or Blackberry sites. The problem is, less than a quarter of Americans use the mobile web. This seriously restricts the reach of your mobile advertising campaign. Furthermore, when you design a banner ad for the mobile web you need to make sure that it will display correctly on thousands of different devices, made by over a dozen different manufacturers.

If your firm does decide to build its own WAP site, you can easily integrate it into your text messaging campaigns.

  • Bluetooth/Infrared – In recent years a number of brands have rolled out Bluetooth and infrared marketing campaigns. In a typical scenario, a street advertisement will offer consumers the opportunity to receive marketing content wirelessly at the ‘hotspot.’ We have seen such initiatives from Discovery Channel and Pepsi using New York City bus stop shelters. These campaigns, while technologically innovative, are rare.
  • Location Based Advertising – Many mobile phones are equipped with Global Position System receivers. In a typical scenario, a store may send a special offer to a consumer when they are in the neighborhood. This technology is growing in popularity overseas, but it is very much in its infancy in the US.
  • Multimedia Message Service (MMS) – Most mobile phones support multimedia messages, which can contain text, sound, images, and even video. The iPhone, notably does not support MMS. The downside to MMS marketing is that receiving such messages can be costly to consumers. Furthermore, different networks and different devices conform to differing standards, hindering simple, ubiquitous campaigns. Successful MMS campaigns are typically run “on-deck,” which means that they confined to a single carrier. Although running an “on-deck” campaign allows you to leverage the power of MMS by conforming to a particular carrier’s technology, you are limited to that carrier’s customers
  • Mobile Search – Marketers familiar with Cost Per Click (CPC) search advertising programs such as Google AdWords, may be aware that these programs are now available on the mobile web. Extending your CPC search campaign to the mobile web presents numerous challenges. First, mobile search suffers the same ‘reach’ drawbacks as mobile advertising. Furthermore, the major cellular carriers hope to keep searches in house, rather than ceding their users to a mobile search engine; and when consumers search on their mobile device their intentions are very different than when they are sitting at their desktop.
  • Mobile Gaming – Consumers have begun to embrace gaming on their mobile phones. Some firms have begun to advertise within freely available games. Mobile gaming is certainly popular, but it does not offer scale. Furthermore, your firm may have difficulty finding suitable placements.

As you can see, all of these marketing formats have serious drawbacks. We would not be surprised to see them become more viable in the future. For now though, none of them offer the reach, the simplicity, and the low cost of text messaging.

Now let’s take a look at mobile marketing with text messaging:

  • You Can Do-It-Yourself – Small and medium businesses that do not have the inclination or the resources to work with a marketing agency can launch a text messaging campaign in-house using a simple web-based software/service like Ez Texting. All you need is a web browser and a credit card to get started.
  • Text Messaging Is Inexpensive – The cost of text messaging is important to you and your customers alike. Sending out a mass text messaging campaign is inexpensive (prices as low as a nickle per message). Receiving text messages comes at a very low price as well: most mobile phone plans include at least a few hundred messages per month, and additional messages cost only pennies to receive. Heavy texters – most of whom are concentrated in the 18-35 age group – are likely to have unlimited message plans.
  • High Penetration Rate – Half of all Americans are already texting, and even those who don’t text are almost certain to own a phone that supports text messaging. Over 250 million Americans own a mobile phone, and nearly all of them are ready to receive your message. No other type of mobile marketing can match text messaging’s reach.
  • Begin The Conversation With Text Messaging – Other types of mobile marketing will grow in importance in the future. If you start text messaging with your customers now, you’ll have the relationship (and data) in place to reach them in new ways in the future.

How To Start Your Text Message Marketing Campaign In 9 Steps

As this is the Ez Guide to Mobile Marketing with Text Messaging we hate to complicate things, but we do need to help you understand an important difference between the two common types of text message marketing campaigns. Don’t worry – the difference is simple, but as you will see, the steps that you will take to get started will vary based on the type of campaign that you are planning.

There are two types of text messaging campaigns: pull and push. In a push campaign, your firm starts off with a database of opted in phone numbers. A pull campaign is designed to build a database of phone numbers for future use.

  • Pick A Firm – Can they handle volume; do they support all carriers; do they offer easy-to-use software; do they offer advanced features you may want to use down the road?
  • Target The Customers/Members You Would Like To Reach – The power of marketing with text messages is that it allows you to reach the customers you want to reach. Figure out who they are before you design your campaign. (If you are conducting a push campaign, you already have these customers’ phone numbers. If you are launching a pull campaign, you will design the campaign to best reach your target customers)
  • Setup A Means To Collect Numbers – There are three ways to collect phone numbers. You can direct your customers to opt-in by sending a message with your keyword to a short code; you can collect customer phone numbers using a web widget; or, if you are conducting a push campaign, you can easily import previously collected phone numbers into your campaign database.
  • Choose A Keyword – A Keyword is a short word (which may include numbers) that customers send a text message to, in order to join your list. An example would be: ‚Text KEYWORD to SHORTCODE to join our text messaging list.‚  When you select a mobile marketing firm to work with, such as Ez Texting, they will allow you to use their shared Short Code. In Ez Texting’s case this code is 313131  Feel free to give this a try! Text EZ to the number 313131 and see what happens.
  • Choose A Good Call To Action (CTA) – You want to offer your customers value in return for joining your database. A typical CTA might go: Text KEYWORD to SHORTCODE to join our text messaging list and receive 10 percent off your next purchase at the boutique.
  • Design Your Promotional Efforts – Your mobile marketing campaign can stand alone, or it can compliment your existing marketing campaigns.
  • Keep It Simple! – When you send out a mass message, keep it simple. You have 160 characters. Use them wisely. And always send a test message to yourself!
  • Always Allow Your Customers To Opt-Out – When you first text your customers you need to let them know how to Opt-Out from receiving future text messages. This is usually accomplished by replying STOP to one of your messages.
  • Track Your Results – When you run a campaign you are going to collect a lot of data – response rates, time of day, and other data points. Use that data to design your next campaign and you’ll achieve even greater ROI!

The Value Of Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Mobile Marketing

As we’ve already shown you, Mobile Marketing with text messaging is easy. There are other advantages, beyond ease of use, to DIY text messaging:

  • Ease Of Use – A Mobile Marketing package like Ez Texting is simple to use. It is web-based, which means that there is no software to install. You can check on your campaigns and launch new ones from any computer with an Internet connection or even directly from your own cell phone.
  • Cost Effective – Our current economic climate is extremely challenging. There is a good chance that your customers are spending less. Meanwhile, your competitors are cutting prices, hoping to make whatever money they can. When you start looking for places to cut corners, your marketing budget often winds up in the crosshairs. A DIY mobile marketing campaign allows you to keep talking to your customers without the upfront costs of traditional ad buys. You can’t afford to stop advertising, and text messaging allows you to eschew expensive, untargeted campaigns in favor of inexpensive, targeted campaigns. Many Ez Texting clients tell us they were able to cut back on other, more costly advertising methods once they built an effective database of opt-in customers.
  • Control – Everyone needs a helping hand every now and then, and a premier mobile marketing firm like Ez Texting is always there to help you get started and answer your questions. What you don’t need is an expensive agency to do things you can do yourself, on their terms, instead of your own. Ez Texting’s software allows you to conceive and send messages on your own. Even more importantly, you control every dollar that you spend.
  • Data – When you run your own mobile marketing campaign you control your data. Names, phone numbers, response rates – whatever data you collect, it is all yours. Do not rely on an agency to provide you with your data upon request.
  • Campaigns That Are Uniquely Yours – Instead of allowing an agency to repurpose a cookie-cutter campaign, with a DIY solution you (or your marketing team) design campaigns that fit what your company does and what it represents.

Text Message Marketing That Goes Beyond Mere Messages

SMS Text messaging is the most popular and effective form of mobile marketing because it does exactly what it is supposed to do. You can achieve great ROI doing nothing more than occasionally texting your customers with notices, reminders and offers. But, as you will see, there is so much more that you can do. Importantly, for you and for your customers, all of these compelling methods keep things simple.

  • Mobile Couponing – Invite customers to text in your keyword to receive instant coupons that they can display in your store for a discount. In numerous surveys, consumers report that they are especially open to messages that offer value.
  • Contests – Commonly referred to as “Text-2-Win”, a mobile contest offers consumers the opportunity to text in to win a prize. Ez Texting’s software includes built-in contest functionality, allowing you to randomly select winners or to offer prizes to the first x number of entries. Every person that texts into the contest will be added to your database of phone numbers
  • Voting & Trivia – Interacting with consumers often produces the most successful marketing campaigns. Not only do Voting & Trivia allow customers to put in their two cents on a topic, but you collect valuable demographic data about your target consumers’ likes, dislikes and personality trends.

Tips & Tricks To Turbo Charge Your Mobile Marketing Campaign

Do-It-Yourself mobile marketing with Ez Texting’s software is simple. That does not mean that our software isn’t extremely powerful. After spending a few minutes sending out experimental messages, you’ll be ready to try out some of our advanced features:

  • Message Forwarding – The messages that your customers send you can be forwarded to your email address or directly to your own mobile phone. Radio stations use this feature to relay song requests to DJs. Churches set up forwarding to a cell phone for anonymous prayer requests during church services.
  • Send Messages From Your Phone – When you just cannot get to a computer with an Internet connection you still can send out messages to your database of customers. This is perfect for one-the-go clients and marketers. Busy working the floor at a convention or a trade show? Send out timely messages to your clients from your mobile phone.
  • Message Scheduling –If you know that you want to send out a message at some time in the future, just enter it into the system, schedule it, and then when the time comes the message will be sent out automatically.
  • Web Widget – A fully customizable signup widget allows patrons to join your text messaging database from any website, email blast, MySpace or Facebook page. This security-enabled widget only subscribes unique, active cell phone numbers. Simply copy and paste the widget and you are done!
  • Random Sends – Running a special offer? Only want to hit some of your customers? With a random send the Ez Texting software will send out messages to x number of random phone numbers in your database.
  • Application Programming Interface (API) –Generally API is for advanced users only. If you don’t know what an API is, it is probably best to skip to the next page. Through your Ez Texting account, you can use our API to integrate the sending and receiving of text messages with your own website or application. This is helpful for firms with existing platforms, such as doctor’s offices that wish to add an SMS notification system to their CRM tool.

Look Who’s Texting

As we said in the introduction to this guide, mobile marketing with text messaging is already here. Businesses large and small are running campaigns this very moment. Last year, SuperStop USA, a gas station in St. Paul, MN, launched one of our favorite Ez Texting powered mobile marketing campaigns:

SuperStop USA– When gas prices are scheduled to go up, SuperStop USA owner Tony Donatell knows in advance. He believed that his customers would make it a point to fill up their tanks at his station if they were alerted in advance of the price increase. What Mr. Donatell needed was a way to quickly reach his customers with this information.

SuperStop USA found a solution with an Ez Texting powered program called Gas Alerts. To attract subscribers, the station deployed Point of Purchase (POP) displays featuring their CTA, ranging from in-store signs at the registers to promotional posters outside at the pumps instructing customers to text “GAS” to 25827.

Super Stop amassed over 70 subscribers in less than two weeks. They reported a response rate greater than 20% for each text message blast. The program is still going strong a year later.

The following three campaigns were some of 2008’s most prominent and successful mobile marketing efforts:

American Idol– A few years ago, the producers of American Idol and AT&T teamed up to allow Idol viewers to vote on their favorite contestants via SMS. In 2008, fans voted in record numbers, sending in 78 million text messages. In 2008, AT&T expanded their Idol efforts to include “voting reminders, trivia, a TXT-n-Win sweepstakes promising the winner $50,000 cash and a trip for two to the Idol series finale in Los Angeles, and contestant ringtones and video clips featuring outrageous audition moments.”

President Barack Obama’s 2008 Election Campaign – Political historians will be studying Barack Obama’s historic campaign for decades to come. There is one thing that everyone already agrees upon – Obama’s New Media team leveraged the web, social networks, and text messaging in unprecedented ways to communicate with supporters, recruit donors, and enhance get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts. Famously, the Obama campaign announced their Vice Presidential selection of Joe Biden to opted in subscribers via text message. The message went out to 2.9 million mobile phones. The phone numbers went into the campaign database.

Finally, when Election Day came, supporters received text messages reminding them to vote. This was much more than a nifty way to end a campaign that exploited text messaging so successfully – research has found that SMS is more effective than all GOTV methods other than old fashioned door-to-door canvassing. Canvassing may be more effective at turning out votes, than text messaging, but it costs nearly 20x as much per recruited vote.

The American Red Cross – The American Red Cross raised $190,000 dollars in 2008 with its Text 2HELP program. The program is activated during major disasters. According to The Wireless Foundation, “subscribers of participating wireless carriers can send a text message to „2HELP“ (24357) containing the word „GIVE.“ A $5 tax-deductible donation will be made to the American Red Cross for disaster relief efforts. Donations will appear on customers‘ monthly bills or be debited from a prepaid account balance.”

In 2008, the Text 2HELP campaign was advertised across various communications channels, and received its biggest boost when both Presidential candidates called their constituents to action. During the Republican National Convention, Mike Duncan, the chairman of the RNC, asked convention attendants to take out their mobile phones and text in a donation. The Obama campaign leveraged their own text messaging campaign to aid the Red Cross, sending their entire database of subscribers a message asking them to text GIVE to 24537 (2HELP).

Besides having a good beat maker, you have to remember that in writing or creating a beat with the use of a beat maker is an organic process and you do not have to rush in doing so, as the song will evolve over time. If you do find that your song or beat just isn’t sounding as good as you originally planned, do not be afraid to just trash the project and start from scratch.

When making beats, it’s best if you use the best Lyrics Beat Maker Online for the job without you shelving out a lot of money for it. To make a good beat with your beat maker is now easier than it use to be, since almost all of the tools for making beats now come with a cheaper interface multi-track sequencer with a mp3 transfer option.

It is not that hard to create an OKAY sounding music track, but it is very hard to create tracks that ends up sounding like a professional beat.

The most basic beat that you can make starts with either a 2 or even a 4 bar intro, a 16 bar verse, a 8 bar chorus, a 16 bar verse, and a 8 bars chorus which are common in Rap songs today. We guarantee that layering will surely make your beat sound better. The use of an instrument such as lead guitar, clav or horns will make your beat stand out. The drums must hit it hard.

You have to lay down a melody which most Hip Hop beat makers usually have trouble doing. You have to pick a style before you jump in and create your beat, you have to think of the style in which you want your beat to sound (For example, Rap, Pop, Rock or RnB). Just try panning out whether it suits you or not.

HOW TO MAKE HIP HOP BEATS USING HIP HOP BEATS MAKING SOFTWARE?

You can easily make beats using a beat making software.

We all know, that there’s a lot of hungry scammers out there making instrumental beats. Some exclusive rights may typically grant you 100 ownership, while some non-exclusive right licenses only allows the buyer to „lease“ a certain beat for a time or even for beat distributions. If there is a low quality of the online beat preview, it will be hard for you to gauge on how good the beat sound really is.

You just have to remember that there are basically tons of options out there for you if you want to make your own top dollar beast. There is a software tool named Fruit Loops and this is then used in making beats for your songs. Even though some beat software options may or may not be the best for what you are trying to produce, just take the time to study and learn all about the software or hardware that you will use.

Who says that beat making tools are just for professionals only? Beginners can also use these top of the line Lyrics Beat Maker Online and actually make good beats while doing so.

3 Tips on When to Text a Guy You Like So He Thinks You Are Sexy, Fun and Flirty

You’ve met a really cut guy that you like a lot. It feels exciting doesn’t it? But you want to play it cool and make him think you’re worth chasing, right?

The secret to getting your hottie to chase you is to know how to handle texting him back so you don’t appear too available or desperate.

Here Is 3 Important Tips On When To Text a Guy You Like

Tip #1: Let a guy text you first after meeting him

You want to have high worth in a guy’s eyes. Guys value what they have put their effort into.

So if you text him back first, he’ll have the impression that you have a lot of free time on your hands because other guys aren’t after you and you’ll be less attractive to him.

Tip #2: Don’t Text Him Back Right Away

After he has sent you the first text, I recommend that you wait at least 10 minutes before responding to his opening text message to you. Why?

When you are just in the early stages of getting to know someone and create attraction, you want him to think that you are a busy, popular girl with a full life so you are rarely immediately available. (You are aren’t you?) He might even start to think that you are with another hot guy and he’ll have to work harder to get you, i.e. chase you more.

Now once you reply and start texting back and forth, you can have a normal text convo and you don’t have to keep your hunk in suspense with a long pause except when you want to crank up your sex appeal.

Tip #3: Don’t text him at strange times of the day

If you text a guy at 2am, he’s going to think you are desperate. You should be sleeping at 2am, not thinking about him, if you have a full life and things to do the next day.

Also, if you know there are certain times during the day when he can’t respond to your text right away like when he’s in class or at work, text him when you know he has a break or is off work.

Now that you know when to text that hottie, here’s what to text him that is sexy, fun and flirty

When you are having a texting convo with that hot guy you like, you always want to text with the tone of being flirty and playful to crank up your sex appeal. Tease him and bust on him in a playful way. You will stand out from the other girls he is texting that are sending him boring messages.

Him: „Hey, it was good to see you at Burger Hut the other day“

You: „Yes I know, I could tell you are really into me“

You tease him and give him a challenge. Let’s see how he handles it.

Him: „Yeah, I couldn’t stop staring at that big zit on your forehead“

He’s ready to play, too. Should be fun. You are going to let him think he put his foot in his mouth and blew it with you.

You: „I was going to listen to a band on Friday night with friends and thought you’d like to come, too. Guess you’d be too embarrassed to be seen with me“

Him: „It should be dark, so it might not be that noticeable“

He continues to tease you.

After 5 minutes…

Him: „hello… „

Keep him guessing about wanting him to join you. He just „offended you,“ right? Wait another 10-15 minutes, then…

You: „You can stay by the bar while I dance in front of the hot lead singer.“

You text back and you crank up your sex appeal by teasing him that you might catch another hottie’s eye. What makes this reply good is that you remind him of your value. There are many guys interested in you and you are busy doing fun things!

Most girls don’t have the nerve or know how to create uncomfortable silence to create sexual tension. His imagination is your best friend.

Him: „I’ll be good. Promise“

Good job. You reeled him in and made yourself worth chasing some more.

You: „Gota go. Call me for details on Thur“

You end the convo first. And yeah, you need to make him pick up the phone and talk to you. Real guys pick up the phone to confirm plans.

You are totally in control and he’s going to have to step it up a bit to keep your attention. Guys find this very sexy because you are a challenge. The chase is on!

How to Read Guitar Music, Chords and Notes

In order to play the guitar, you need to learn how to read guitar music. Learning and understanding it may sound complicated but once you get used to it, it is actually quite simple and can be done in a breeze.

To play guitar music, first you must understand the basic chord patterns and what they are. A guitar chord is a sound composed of different notes being played on the guitar. Once you know the chord formation then you can start building the chord progression patterns to play a whole decent song.

In order to read the guitar music you must first understand the common terms, and the first on this example are the major chords. Major chords are the major notes. It’s the most basic chords used in guitar playing. The major chords are composed of series of notes from the chromatic scale (the major scale C, D, E, F…) without alteration.

Then there are the Minor chords. Minor chords are also chords based on the major scale but instead of the normal notes used on a chord, the 2nd note should be a half step lower, so if the C chord is made up of C,E, and G notes, the Cm chord will have a C D# and G note. Major and Minor chords are the common chords used in a chord progression.

Another thing you need to learn is the flats and sharps. Flats are chords lowered by half a step and sharps are the opposite or chords which are a half step higher. This tiny information is indeed needed in order to understand well how to read guitar music.

In order to read chords you need to know the chords abbreviations and what they would look like in a song sheet. A major chord like for example a C major can be written as C and a C major 7 (a C chord with an additional 7th note) can be written as CM7. For minor chords a C minor can be written as Cm. A flat can be symbolized by a small letter „b“ and in E chord it can be written as Eb and Sharps are written using the universal symbol of „#“ and in C chord it can be written as C#.

There are two types of song sheet or guitar music sheet, there’s the tablature and the simple chord sheet. The tablatures are figures of music bars and each bar signifies as strings on guitar. The numbers on the tablature sheet shows which strings are to pressed and on what fret. While the chord sheet on the other hand are simply the song with lyrics and the chords above them, the timing of chord changing is based on where it is positioned above the lyrics. The chord sheet is the type we often used and often found on basic song books.

Learning how to read guitar music is a tough process and needs a lot of dedication and hard work, But with the right materials and research, you’ll get used to it and reading guitar music would be as simple as reading a text message shortcuts.

Using Songs as Authentic English Language Texts

Authentic English Language Text

In English as a foreign or second language teaching (EFL, ESL), if you ever need to come up with an authentic English text of any kind, i.e., newspaper, magazine, movie clip, etc. that you need to present to the class and you’ve been powerfully influenced by music your whole life you might chose to take the song approach. You’ll be okay using a popular song as authentic language text – which it certainly is. I’d go with popular songs, like „Imagine“ by John Lennon, which have more appeal. You can get some additional mileage out of the song using cultural aspects as well as some others. Profiling, doing a biography of and discussing John Lennon as an example in this case. Here are some ways to go about it.

Select and Concept Check the Lexis

Be sure to select at least six to eight key lexis (minimum) from the song. To aid in concept checking you should create a series of short exercises such as:

o a True – False exercise

o a short matching exercise and perhaps

o a fill in the blanks exercise

In each of these exercises you’ll be using the lexis (vocabulary) you’ve chosen. You might also try to find a few pictures or photos to visually – graphically illustrate both the key lexis and themes or phrases from the song. You can also prepare a re-order exercise using the song lyrics by cutting the lyrics into strips, mixing them up and having the learners re-order the lyrics line strips of the song by listening to it.

Re-Ordering Sequences

Play the song again afterwards to have learners check their re-ordered sequence. Try to have a picture or drawing that represents each of your chosen lexis for you to use to help elicit the key lexis from the learners before they hear the song. For a REAL test of this system (which I regularly use, by the way) is to find and use a song that you think the learners don’t know! You’ll get kudos for this one for sure. It’s especially effective when the class is multi-cultural; that is, composed of learners from different countries and diverse language backgrounds. (Russia, Iran, South Korea, Mexico, and so on) Using a snappy but „unknown“ song will help to ensure a ample amount of „learning“ on the part of your students, in more ways than one.

Finding Unique Songs

So how would you find such songs – easy; just check out songs from other genres, songs sung in other varieties of English and popular songs from past eras aka „oldies but goodies“.

Some suggestions you might consider include:

o country and western

o oldies from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s

o jazz vocals

o soul or rhythm and blues songs (especially from previous eras)

o comedy songs

o Bluegrass songs

o Folk songs

o Ballads

Process Need Not Be Difficult

If you don’t have the time or inclination to do the extra preparation you can just go with the activities I’ve mentioned for your presentation. The process needn’t be overly difficult at all.

Let me know if you need any further guidance or some actual exercise examples. I’ll be happy to send you some.

Good luck.

Texting in Dating and Relationships: Avoiding the Ten Deadly Mistakes

Immobilie bewerten, Immobilie Wert, Immobilienrechner, Verkaufsrechner, Immobilienwertermittlung

Handy: 0176-2116-9990
eMail: info@heidelbergerwohnen.de
Internet: www.heidelbergerwohnen.de

I think texting rocks!  It means that no matter what you are doing you can be in touch with and connected to your loved ones.  Texting has absolutely deepened our dating and love relationships.  Now your „A“ level friends and lovers can be in a constant secret dialogue with you.  Of course texting can be overdone and work in reverse: how many times have you seen others texting away and ignoring you or others they are with?  As a psychologist I can tell you that there are certain times when that is a recipe for disaster.  So you want to take advantage of texting, but in a clever, balanced way.

My dating and love advice is to use your quick-talking thumbs to deepen your relationships in a thoughtful way.  And certainly make sure that texting does not backfire and hurt your relationship with a hottie!   With that in mind, here are 10 deadly mistakes to avoid when you are dating or in a relationship:

1. Texting is a good way to reach out and follow up with someone you’ve just met. It is a more immediate way of telling the person you’re interested and would like to see him/her again. But if the text is too long and you’re running on about stuff that has nothing to do with your date, it can be an immediate turn-off; your new connection may suddenly disappear into the dating netherworlds.

2. Similarly, if you’re just starting out, don’t over-text.  This behavior can be interpreted as being overanxious. Remember you’re just testing the waters. As the relationship becomes more serious, you can slowly increase the frequency of communications in order to plan things together, get emotional support or advice, and ultimately to send love messages.

3. Mass texting to ask people out on a date is a desperate act and will backfire later if people compare notes.

4. Texting during a date is simply bad manners.  SMSing when you’re conversing with someone else is as rude as taking an unnecessary call. What do you think it says about you?

5. Similarly, using text as a habitual way of avoiding speaking on the phone with a partner or lover is sometimes the shy way out and doing so will never get you over your communication fears.  You have to come face-to-face with your partner and practice straight truthful talk in order to have a whole and lasting relationship.

6. Revealing something embarrassing in writing is never a good idea. Lewd or overly sexual remarks can catch the recipient off-guard (as at work) and compromise or fluster them. The message can also be shown to others — making you look like a less-than-stellar catch.

7. Late night texts should be avoided. While many people turn their phones off at night, others forget to do so and there’s nothing more annoying than those beeps awakening you.  Worse than that, women can often see late night texts as simple booty calls and find them extremely insulting.

8. Too many steamy or romantic texts make you come across as desperate, needy and intrusive in a love relationship. Remember that less is more. Therefore, wait until your partner responds before you retext.

9. Breaking up with someone by text is a definite no-no. Ending a love relationship in this way or by email are signs of cowardice and disrespect both toward yourself and the other person. If at all possible deliver the bad news in person or at the very least in a phone conversation.

10. Driving and texting don’t mix. It’s dangerous and your date will rightly worry about your judgment.

Texting is definitely a new means of courting, bonding, creating emotional connection, and planning dates and activities together. But be careful of how you use SMS as it is a two-edged sword and can ruin a relationship.
